Seek God First

Day 7

Today’s
Scripture:

Matthew 6:33
“So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from Him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly.”

Thought for Today:

We have spent these first days building upon a sure foundation for our prayer time, “worship.” Beginning with worship and giving God our praise and adoration helps to keep life in proper perspective. When we understand this truth our priorities will be arranged properly.

Further, it helps us recognize that life is to be done with God. Look at these words of Jesus, “So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from Him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly.” These words present us with the most important priority list and promise, “Seek God first. “Remember God is for you not against you. You are the desire of His heart.

Let’s continually enter His presence with thanksgiving and come into His embrace with praise.

Prayer:

Father, we come seeking You. We desire for Your kingdom to be established on earth as it is in heaven. We ask for Your kingdom to increase daily in our lives. We submit our lives; spirit, soul and body to Your will and ways. May Your Lordship be recognized in and through our time, talent, and treasure. Lord, we offer ourselves for Your service today. Use us for Your glory. May our words and deeds be led by the Holy Spirit and give life to those we come in contact with this day. Father, we pray that this day we will be life givers for Your glory. We ask all of this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
