A House Of Prayer

Day 5

Today’s
Scripture:

Matthew 21:12-13 (TPT)
Upon entering Jerusalem Jesus went directly into the temple area and drove away all the merchants who were buying and selling their goods. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the stands of those selling doves. And he said to them, “My dwelling place will be known as a house of prayer, but you have made it into a hangout for thieves!”

Thought for Today:

The removing of the clutter and distractions made room for the true purpose of the temple. My dwelling place will be known as a house of prayer.” Isn’t this a beautiful picture the Lord gives to us?  “My dwelling place, a house of prayer.” Pause for a moment to allow the Holy Spirit to “paint” the picture of these powerful loving words. Almighty God is telling us that He desires for us to know Him so intimately that He takes up residency within us, to be transformed into a “house of prayer.”

What a tremendous picture this is, “A house of prayer.” This picture should blow the top off any form of dead dry religion. This is not a stuffy cold obligation time of duty. Oh no, this painting is far greater. It is a lodging safe place of fellowship. A place saturated with the loving presence of The Lord Himself. This is a place so secure that you are sheltered in the arms of The Loving Father. This is a house filled with the glory of The Lord Himself, a house of love, joy, grace, acceptance, peace, and wonder. You are a fellowship meeting place of the greatest family ever possible.

Can you hear the voice of the Holy Spirit saying, “I have desired you from before the foundation of the world.”? This is your destiny, your purpose, and your belonging. You are, “My dwelling place, known as a house of prayer.”  Wow! You are really something special.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for desiring me from before the foundation of the world. Thank You for never giving up on me. Thank You for Your dwelling presence in my life. Thank You for holding on to me and never letting go. Fill me to overflowing with Your presence. Let the light of Your grace shine through me today. Let me be a conduit of Your presence to those around me today. I love you Lord. Thank You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
