You Are NOT a Loser

Day 19

Today’s
Scripture:

Romans 8:37-39 (NKJV)
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Thought for Today:

When you think about your future is it exciting or frustrating? Does your life at times seem like your driving down a dead-end street? Here’s an important truth you may need to remind yourself of. The devil knows that if he can steal your joy, your strength will be drained. If you spend your time focusing on how bad things are and feeling sorry for yourself, your joy disappears and with it your strength. When you worry, complain, and fret, your problems grow and increase to the point you are overwhelmed. Many people just throw their hands up in surrender and give up. They buy into the lies of the devil believing, “nothing ever works out for me,” or “if anything can go wrong it will.” That’s exactly the mindset the enemy wants you to have.

John 10:10 says, “the thief comes to kill, steal, and destroy.” Killing, stealing and destroying is exactly why the devil wants to get the joy of the Lord away from you. When people lose their strength they won’t even fight. They look at life with a, “what’s the use” or “what does it matter,” attitude. STOP IT NOW! That’s not for you! You were created in the image and likeness of God. You are not a loser. You are not the defeated. Jesus the Christ the Son of God went to the cross for you. He loves you and believes in you. He beat every enemy, curse, disease, addiction, lack, and sin you will ever face.

God calls you His child. You are a child of God. You are a winner. However, you are the one who decides who and what you will believe. That decision is yours. Remember this, if the devil can’t steal your joy he sure can’t beat you. Isaiah 61:3 tells us the Lord has given us, “the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.” Begin even now to praise the Lord. No matter what you’re facing. No matter what the circumstances are. No matter what you’re feeling. Stop, and give The Lord your thanks and praise. Give Him thanks for who He is and what He has done. Let joy overflow in your life. Keep your eyes on His Word. Regain your strength through the joy of the Lord. Rejoice in the Lord and again I say rejoice. Watch your strength return and grow as you express your joy to the Lord.

Prayer:

Father, I thank You for who You are. You are wonderful and amazing and I rejoice in You. Father, I make the decision this day to live in Your joy. Lord, fill me to overflowing with Your joy. I refuse discouragement, self-pity, and giving up and I bind their influence upon me in any way. I rejoice knowing that I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength. Be glorified in me today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Activation:

Write down five things you can rejoice about. Give God praise for the five things out loud. Bless the Lord, He is worthy.

God Bless; make it a great day,
