Let Your Light Shine

Day 13

Today’s
Scripture:

Luke 4:18-19 (NKJV)
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

Thought for Today:

This is Jesus’ mission statement. He proclaims it at the beginning of His ministry. He not only fulfilled it during His earthly ministry but continues to fulfill it today through the Holy Spirit working in us. This too is your mission statement. You have been anointed (empowered) by the Holy Spirit to bring this wonderful good news in word and deed to those around you.

You have been set free to bring liberty (freedom) to others. Determine this day that you will reject every thought that says, God wouldn’t or couldn’t use you. You are not a mistake, a coincident, or a happenstance. God has set this whole thing up from before your birth. He planned you for here and now, for “such a time as this.”

You are right on time. You are in the right place. You are the right person. You are valuable to the Kingdom of God. God believes in you. Jesus said, “You a are the light of the world, so LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE.”

Prayer:

Father, thank You for believing in me. Father, it is my desire that Your kingdom come and Your will be done through me today. Your anointing is upon me and You have called me. Be glorified through me today. I am Your servant and I desire to do Your will. I recognize that it is not by my might or power, but through the Holy Spirit that I fulfill Your will for me.

I declare today, “I am obedient to Your will and Word. I am empowered to bring Your love and grace into the world this day. I am Your available willing instruments use me Lord for Your glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Activation:

Speak a blessing of the Lord into someone’s life today. Let them know that God loves them. Use words or deeds. Let your light shine. Give it away to someone.

God Bless; make it a great day, and remember, “Why Not You?”
