God is Crazy About You!

Day 11

Today’s
Scripture:

Galatians 5:1 (NIV)
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Thought for Today:

Live and think of this day as a free person and not like a slave caught in bondage. Today make the deliberate effort to picture yourself as a child of God, someone who God rejoices over. Reject all thinking that tells you God is not in love with you, or not for you. That is not God’s Word, and thinking like that certainly does not come from the Holy Spirit. God is crazy about you and deeply in love with you.

As you come into agreement with God’s Word you are becoming what the Bible refers to as, “spiritually minded.” Romans 8:5-7 says, “Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.” (NLT) As you meditate upon God’s Word, you become spiritually-minded. His Word leads you into life and peace. His Word is working within you.

Prayer:

Father, today I choose to think about You and Your Word. Keep Your Word in the forefront of my thinking. Help me to recognize when my thinking begins to wander away from the truth of Your Word. I confess today that I hear the prompting of the Holy Spirit and I am quick to obey. I hear Your voice and any other voice contrary to Your Word I will not follow or give attention to. Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. I am led today into the path of righteousness and life, and I walk in it. My heart is set upon You. I rejoice in You and Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Activation:

Share God’s love in a practical way today. Express (exercise) your freedom in Christ by doing something practical for someone else that blesses them, (examples: Ask the Holy Spirit for a compliment or word of encouragement you give someone, hold a door, let someone else go first, etc…) Just give them a reminder that God is thinking about them and loves them.

Make it a great day.
