Refuse to be a Slave

Day 10

Today’s
Scripture:

Galatians 5:1 (MSG)
Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you.

Thought for Today:

If you want to live in the freedom Christ has purchased for you, decide not to have a slave mentality. You must reject anything that holds you in bondage or captivity. You must recognize and believe God’s Word about your freedom. As a born-again believer, you must make the decision to believe God’s Word.

It is your choice. You are the one who decides what you believe. The enemy has no power over God’s Word. He attempts to use lies to persuade people that God’s Word cannot be trusted. This is exactly what he did to Adam and Eve and they fell for it. He tried the same thing on Jesus, but Jesus beat him every time because he responded with, “It is written.” In other words, “this is what God says and I believe Him.” The devil was then and still is completely defenseless against God’s Word.

Heb 4:12-13 says, “God means what He says. What He says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one is impervious to God’s Word. We can’t get away from it — no matter what. (Message) Use God’s Word today and defeat every thought that comes your way that does not line up with God’s Word. You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved us, (Rom.8:37).

Prayer:

Father, I thank You for Your Word. Your Word is alive and works mightily within me. Today I make the deliberate decision to believe Your Word and do life Your way. Your Word will not return to You useless and empty, but does accomplish everything that You send it to do. I believe and agree with Your Word and declare today that I am a doer of Your Word and not a hearer only. I give Your Word priority in my life. Let Your Word do its perfect work within me. I proclaim today that I am a person of God’s Word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Activation:

Write down one distorted thought, a lie the enemy is wanting you to believe. It may be something like, I will never have enough to meet my needs, or this pain in my body will never go away. Now take action and write down a scripture that declares the truth about your situation. Some examples might be, “My God will supply all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:19, or “Jesus heals all my diseases” Ps. 103:3. Speak the truth, the Word of God, when you hear the lie in your mind. God’s Word is powerful and will accomplish what it is sent to do!

God Bless, make it a great day,
