“There is a “fresh” move of the Holy Spirit happening and you are invited to join in.” It is always interesting to me the terms and definitions we use while attempting to describe God’s working in the world or our lives. No matter what the term, “fresh,” “new,” “latter day rain”, “awakening,” or whatever term you hear, it is important to realize that God has a vision and a dream for your life. God believes in you! It is unfortunate that  many people are focused so intently upon their shortcomings and failures that they don’t believe God could, or would, use them.  When someone believes this way his, or her, expectation level is usually very low and even nonexistent.

If you think that God wouldn’t, or couldn’t, use your life that thought is completely unscriptural. God has a greater picture and dream for your life than you can even imagine. Some people think that only the “super spiritual” people are called.  I am not quite sure what it means to be “super spiritual,” but I know that most people believe it’s not them.  I would like you to be encouraged by knowing that God is faithful; He has committed Himself to you and your growth as one of His children.  Philippians 1:6 reminds us, “being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

I want to challenge you to see beyond your own limitations and look at God’s unlimited capabilities for your life. God is only limited by your refusal to believe Him. Isn’t that a remarkable thought?  Almighty, all-powerful God, the God of all creation is “limited” by your not believing Him. Isn’t that incredible? You might be asking yourself right now, “What should I do then?” First, refuse to accept the enemy’s lies that leave you out of the promises of God. As a believer in Jesus Christ, you are a child of The Most High God. You are a joint heir with Jesus and the Holy Spirit of God lives within you (Romans 8:15-17).

You are a first class citizen of the Kingdom of God; stop listening to any thought that tells you otherwise.  Reject any and all thoughts that don’t line up with God’s Word about you. Next, build yourself up with the Word of God. Romans 10:17 says, “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” Build and increase your faith by keeping God’s Word in front of your eyes. Find scriptures that support who God says you are and speak them over your life continually.

Next, meditate (think over, picture in your mind) on what the Lord is saying about you. Agree with God’s Word, see it in your mind and heart as a reality. God’s Word is truth. Determine no matter what ever happens in life, “I am going to believe God.” Raise the level of your expectation. Believe that your heart is good soil and the Word of God produces 30-60-100 times more in your life, (Mark 4:20).

Go for it this summer. “Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be able to stand firm. Believe in His prophets, and you will succeed.” 2 Chron 20:20 NLT  Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

God bless,
