I’m sure many of you have noticed our latest phrase uplifting the direction of the New Life.
Connecting emphasizes our commitment to first connect in relationship with God. Our personal relationship with the Lord will always move us into relationships with others. In other words as we draw closer to the Lord our heart for others expands because that is where His heart is.
As followers of Jesus we submit to the leading of the Holy Spirit which will always at some point lead us to “connect” with others, both Christian and non-Christian. I don’t believe that God would have a group of people get together every week and never form some type of caring friendship.
It is the desire of the leadership of New Life Covenant to promote opportunities for everyone and especially those committed to New Life as their church home to get together and form friendships. One of the ways we encourage this is through Life Groups. Life Groups provide a chance for people to get to know one another on a more personal level, than just the casual “hi” in passing on Sunday mornings.
During the summer months we promote what we refer to as “free enterprise” groups. The Free Enterprise groups are based on, “like interest,” that means, people getting to together and doing what they enjoy doing or have an interest in learning about with others. In the past we have had gun shooting, motorcycle riding, sewing, women’s teas, bible study, fishing, scrap booking, and others.
These groups form their own schedules and work out their own objectives. The church provides promotional opportunities so others know about the groups. Maybe you have a hobby or activity you would like to share with others. If so contact the office.
